Mr. Vetter is authorized to represent clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO), the German Federal Patent Court (FPC), the European Patent Office (EPO) as well as the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM).
Practice Areas:
Mr. Vetter began his career in intellectual property in 2002 and joined df-mp in April 2010. His scientific background in physical chemistry, optical measurement methods and biosensor technology enhances the firm's chemistry and pharmaceuticals practice groups. Apart from that, Mr. Vetter has considerable experience in the fields of telecommunications and general mechanics.
His practice focuses on prosecution, opposition and litigation matters concerning German and European patents, in particular, in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceutics. In addition, Mr. Vetter consults clients on investments in intellectual property. He has solid expertise in the evaluation of expert reports on the value and legal status of German and European patent applications and patents.
Mr. Vetter is also a member of the firm's trademark and design practice. He assists small and medium-sized enterprises in developing their trademark and design strategies, starting from the prosecution and opposition of European and German trademarks and designs to their enforcement and defence.
In his dissertation in law under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ansgar Ohly at the University of Bayreuth, Mr. Vetter concentrated on scientific aspects of patent law.

Master of Science degree (Diplom) in chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany, with focus on patent law and physical chemistry (diploma thesis about fine-tuneable biosensors based on surface plasmon resonance)
